Technicians We Make the Difference

Technicians: We Make the Difference is a campaign aimed at 11-16 year olds, to promote non-university routes into the 100 interesting, fulfilling technician roles, which you don’t need a degree to get in to.  

The roles, and the real technicians working in them, are featured on our website www.technicians.org.uk  

On our stand, students can use our iPads to do an interactive careers quiz which matches their skills and preferences to their most suited technician roles, then they move to a wall of 100 info cards on all the roles and choose their roles, which have QR codes which will link to more information about the role, and real people who do the role on our website - www.technicians.org.uk/technician-profiles  

We also give a mini experience of the Careers Uncovered school group sessions we run at our Technicians Gallery at the Science Museum, with real technicians giving demos of their roles.
