Biomimicry – Learn How Nature Inspires Engineering

Join us for your students to get up close and hands-on with real live animals. Your students will get to learn how engineers and scientists are inspired by these animals to create ideas and solutions to help us humans. They will meet the likes of Snakes, Lizards, Tarantulas, Cockroaches and more. We’re going to encourage your students to try and think like an engineer in two activities.

One will be how they would adapt a robot to help us in the areas of: Search and Rescue, Pollination and Microsurgery.

Then we are going to ask them to think outside the box and creatively by thinking how we might use something as super as Spider Silk in our everyday lives.
