Explore Recycling and the Journey of Waste

Join us at the Veolia stand to explore more about the future of waste and how we manage it to help the environment. Your students can take part in any of our exciting activities:

  • VR Tours of Staffordshire Energy Recovery Facility (ERF). Where do we generate electricity? The VR Tours guides students through our site in Staffordshire and explains how Veolia generate electricity from burning non-recyclables.
  • Journey of Plastic Recycling activity. What happens to our recycling? Your students will sort the cards into the right order to show the process of recycling plastic.
  • Sink Float Separation Tank demonstration. How do we organise the recycling? As part of the process of recycling plastic we will demonstrate how we separate and sort different types of plastic.
  • Recycling Bean Bag Game: Where should we recycle our waste? Students have to read the label on the bag and decide on its best place to be recycled.
