Hydro-JULES: water in our world

Join our stand for three exciting activities where your students can learn all about water, soil and food and the impact on the environment. They will discover how a future job in this area could combine their interest, passion and make a real difference.

  1. Watershed Wonders: Augmented Reality Sandbox. The AR Sandbox is a hands-on activity that encourages your students to think about transport of water over the land. The sandbox asks students to move the sand to create hills, valleys and river channels and then move their hands in the air to create rain and see if they have prevented flooding in their design.
  2. Flow and Grow. Students can explore how plants interact with soil through seeing their roots and how healthy soil impacts how well they grow.
  3. Carbon Food Prints. This game takes everyday meals like pizza, roast chicken, or chickpea curry and gets students to guess how much water is needed to grow or make that food. It makes them see water use in different ways and think about how people working on this can make a real difference to how we live our lives.
