Technicians: We Make the Difference

Join us to explore what technicians do, and what technician roles suit your students. Real technicians will bring their jobs to life through demonstrations of what they do. Then, students can take an interactive careers quiz which matches their skills and preferences to their most suited technician roles. After the quiz students can choose from 100 role cards. Each card has more information and a QR code to scan to find out more about real people behind the job.

‘Technicians: We Make the Difference’ is a campaign aimed at 11–16-year-olds, to promote non-university routes into the100 interesting, fulfilling technician roles, which you don’t need a degree to get in to. The roles, and the real technicians working in them, are featured on our website 

We also give a mini experience of the Meet an Employee school group sessions we run at our Technicians Gallery at the Science Museum, with real technicians giving demos of their roles.
