Join us for students to find out more about the exciting possibilities in Materials Science and Engineering.

Students can explore the amazing surfaces found in nature through microscopes and discover what inventions they have inspired. Afterwards students can then use the technology of 3D pens to draw what they have just seen.

Students will also learn about sustainable energy and materials used for this, such as how we can generate heat through moisture in our breath.

Then students can explore how engineers test materials to find out what they can be used for and see how closely related an everyday item like a pencil is to some very high-tech nanomaterials!
