The Engineering Behind Media Broadcasting

Join us at our stand to see how the BBC celebrates technology and uses it across all of its programmes. Without our scientists, technologies, engineers and mathematicians none of our programmes, apps or website would exist! Our stand will showcase the exciting STEM roles that we have with the chance to speak to and work alongside our technical operates, coders and sound engineers.

As well as meeting people your students will get hands on too. They can learn how to code using our BBC Micro:bit and work with our sound engineers to use their code to create a radio clip. Students can have a tour inside our BBC outside broadcasting truck to see how sound engineers work remotely at festivals. Finally, they can test their camera operating and presenting skills in our TV studio!
