Pupil demographic survey
Completing these questions will help us to understand who accesses our programmes. This is so we can provide an inclusive environment for all and ensure we are reaching a diverse range of young people, including those underrepresented in the engineering industry. These questions are voluntary, but the information is key for us to be able to prove we are achieving our aim (including to funders), so please take the time to complete.
Where you are asked how many young people fall into a particular category please provide a whole number, not the percentage. We would ask that where possible you use your schools’ data to complete this information. If this is not possible then give an estimate.
How long will it take to complete this survey?
It will take approximately 5 minutes to fill-in the data. However, you may need to get students’ demographic information from a database or another team within your school to complete the survey.
How will my responses be used?
All data will be held confidentially in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). At no point will the information you provide be shared in a way that would allow you or your students to be personally identified, but EngineeringUK may share anonymised data publicly, for example as part of research and to inform the Engineering community about how to reach more diverse young people.
