Explore local careers in STEM at 2 locations across the UK as part of a brand-new pilot event. The free to attend event is the perfect opportunity to open students' eyes to exciting STEM careers.
Take part in hands-on activities, learn more about local issues and careers and meet inspiring STEM role models.
Big Bang on Location is piloting 2 events in:
- Grimsby, supported by Orsted and RWE
- Rugby, supported by IChemE
Big Bang on Location events are open to young people in the UK in state-funded primary and secondary education.
On Location in Grimsby
- Monday 4 November
- Grimsby Town Hall
- Years 7 to 9
Join in at Big Bang on Location! Discover the engineering behind renewable energy with Orsted and RWE.
Schools are invited to attend a free pilot programme at the Grimsby Town Hall, with young people in years 7 to 9 from local schools. Come along to learn more about careers within renewable energy industry and the career pathways into engineering.
The event will be hosted on Monday 4 November 2024 and schools can register for a free 2 hour session:
- 10am to 12 noon
- 1pm to 3pm
Get stuck in with hands-on activities, careers panels, a chance to meet STEM professionals and much more.
Why attend?
This event supports you to reach Gatsby Benchmarks in your career programming, increases young people’s knowledge of local employers, as well as the exciting engineering and technological advancements in their area. The event will have limited availability and slots will be made available on a first come first served basis which each school initially being offered 40 spaces for young people.
